Long business plans and elevator pitches? Not any more. The newest way to pitch your company’s story is within 20 words. Using Twitter, a platform for micro-blogging that is increasing in popularity, a sales pitch is limited to only 140 characters, and nothing more.
An experiment lead by Stowe Boyd discovered that the “Get to the point” pitch is the most effective, and serves as a good lesson for long winded entrepreneurs and sales people. . Most people are overloaded with information, and just want to get to the bottom line, as John Tozzi of BusinessWeek writes.
